Please click the button below if you have been asked to complete an online Recommendation Form for a scholarship applicant. Forms are due by Thursday, March 29, 2024.
Scholarship Requirements, Award Amounts, and Guidelines
All AdvoCats scholarship applications are due by Thursday, March 29, 2024. The application includes the online application (or printed application, if requested), an essay, and two Recommendation Forms. No late or incomplete applications will be accepted. Seniors may apply for both AdvoCats scholarships provided they meet the qualifications for each scholarship. All applications are reviewed anonymously. Scholarship winners will be notified by phone on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Awards will be presented during Senior Awards Night.
Ambassadors’ Scholarship
- Two scholarships awarded
- Must be a current Aledo ISD senior who demonstrates a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for people in their school and community through community service
- Scholarship award is a one-time payment of $1,000 to a 4 year university, community college, or technical school
- Funds will be automatically disbursed directly to the institution upon receipt of enrollment verification

Founders’ Scholarship
- Five scholarships awarded
- Must be a current Aledo ISD senior who qualifies for AdvoCats’ assistance (please see your school counselor for more information)
- Applications are distributed directly to qualified students by school counselors
- Ongoing scholarship award can be worth up to $8,000 and is paid as $1,000 per semester (paid for up to eight consecutive semesters) to a 4 year university, community college, or technical school
- Recipient must maintain a 2.5 or higher GPA each semester to continue to receive the scholarship funds
- Recipient must maintain a minimum of 12 hours each semester to continue to receive the scholarship funds
- Funds will be automatically disbursed directly to the institution each semester upon receipt of enrollment verification and transcript
Incomplete or late documentation will forfeit the remainder of the scholarship award
Please note: Current AdvoCats’ board member’s children are not eligible to apply.
